How does SpedLink fit with our current IEP system (e.g., Frontline)?
SpedLink does not replace district IEP systems.
It generates a complete draft (PLAAFP, Vision, Goals) that teachers review and then enter into their existing system.

Does SpedLink integrate with student information systems (SIS)?
SpedLink is designed to work alongside existing district systems.
At this stage, it focuses on improving the IEP drafting process rather than replacing or directly integrating with SIS platforms.

How is student data protected?
SpedLink uses secure authentication and encrypted data transmission.
Student data is stored in a protected database environment and access is limited to authorized users.

Who can access student information?
Only authorized users with access to a specific student can view their data.
We are continuing to strengthen role-based access controls as part of ongoing development.

What data does SpedLink collect?
SpedLink only collects information necessary to support IEP drafting, including:
• Teacher, parent, and student survey responses
• Basic student identifiers
No unnecessary data is collected.

Does SpedLink generate or infer diagnoses?
No.
SpedLink strictly uses only the information provided in surveys and existing documentation.
It does not infer, suggest, or generate diagnoses or eligibility categories.

How does SpedLink support compliance?
SpedLink is designed to:
• Use only documented input
• Avoid speculative language
• Produce structured, measurable statements
• Maintain clear linkage between input (survey data) and output (IEP draft)

How accurate are the generated drafts?
SpedLink produces a structured draft based entirely on the data provided.
Teachers review and finalize all content before submission in district systems.

Can teachers edit the generated content?
Yes.
All generated content is fully editable and intended to be reviewed and finalized by the case manager.

What happens if new information is added after a draft is created?
SpedLink allows for unlimited document regeneration if new data is acquired.
